2 Days Berber Villages Trek

Itinerary
Day 1 : Marrakesh - Imlil (1740m), the gateway to the High Atlas - Tizi Mzik (2684m) - Tamsoulte waterfalls (2300m) - Tizi Oussem village (1850m)
Pick up after breakfast in Marrakesh for a scenic drive through Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya and Asni towards the Atlas Mountains . Arrive in Imlil (65km from Marrakesh) to meet your guide and muleteer and begin trekking towards the Tizi Mzik pass enjoying spectacular views towards Mount Toubkal and the Imlil valley. Continue to Tamsoulte, the highest waterfall in the Atlas Mountains (100m), then descend through the juniper forest of the Azzaden valley to Tizi Oussem village. Overnight at the guesthouse in the village 6 hours walking.Day 2 : Tizi Oussem (1850m) - Id Issa village (1800m) - Tizi Oudid (2000m) - Mattat - Agersioual - Marrakesh
After breakfast you can enjoy the sunshine in the colourful valley with its typical Berber villages. Leave Tizi Oussem and descend to I’d Issa village before climbing to the Tizi Oudid mountain pass, pass through juniper forests to Matat village and lunch under walnut trees and relax by the river. What to pack: It is important to pack for variable weather conditions, including warm layers for the evenings and waterproof clothing in case of rain. Good hiking boots are essential, as well as a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. A headlamp, a water bottle, and a small first aid kit are also recommended.
